GLP1 home study

The goal of this educational program is to prepare pharmacists to identify and address reproductive health considerations in patients using incretin mimetics by integrating current evidence into contraception counseling and preconception care.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the current landscape of incretin mimetic use among individuals of reproductive potential
  • Summarize the current evidence and clinical considerations for the use of incretin mimetics with hormonal contraception
  • Discuss the potential impact of GLP-1 receptor agonists on fertility and pregnancy outcomes based on available human and animal data
  • Identify key evidence gaps and future research needs regarding incretin mimetics and reproductive health to inform clinical decision-making
